Workshops at Miriam Makeba School

The students of Miriam Makeba School, aged 2 to 6, came to La Cale to take part in collage workshops and explore art as a common language.

Using Mexican alebrijes as a starting point, they worked on multiculturalism, multilingualism and diversity through textures and collective compositions.

The younger children filled in letters to form the word “multiculturality,” while the older ones created free alebrijes: hybrid beings that celebrate cultural blending, imagination and living together.

“Here and There”. Collage workshop and reflection on migratory grief

Workshop created together with psychologist Claudia Tenorio for Spanish-speaking people living in France.

Starting from a reflection on migratory grief, an intimate space for expression and listening was created, where collage became a way to explore emotions, memories, identity and the sense of belonging between two cultures.

After sharing several collages from the Franxicana exhibition, each participant created a personal piece to express their experience.

The gathering concluded with a deeply human and emotional moment of collective sharing, bringing together participants from Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and France.
